Alternative for the treatment of ageing population from the radio

Abstract

The ageing population is a global phenomenon that poses significant challenges to society. Promoting healthy aging is essential to ensure that older adults live active lives with quality of life. The media, especially radio, play a crucial role in disseminating information and raising awareness on this issue. This paper addresses the results obtained from the implementation of the radio program: to live better, produced by students and professors of the social communication program at calixto garcía university (cum), with the active participation of the staff of the municipal youth radio station, with the goal of promoting healthy aging. The study used theoretical methods such as analysis-synthesis and inductive-deductive analysis, in addition to empirical techniques such as interviews and surveys to analyze older adults' opinions about the program. The impact on listeners' perceptions and behaviors toward aging was also addressed. The research results demonstrated that radio is an effective tool for promoting healthy habits and improving the quality of life of older adults.
